Aedan James joined Hawksoft in early 2016. She holds a BS in Business Management and brings over 20 years of experience in client relations, customer service, and operations management in the software industry, running large and small contact centers in Oregon, Washington, and California. When Aedan isn’t focusing on the customer experience, she spends time with her family and working on the family farm.

Kathi joined the team from Product Support, where she was a representative and a subject matter expert. She holds an AA in Accounting and spent 8 years teaching mathematics. She also has several years of retail management experience, where she honed her excellent customer service skills. She has a passion for accuracy and is excited to be a part of the team.

I worked for an insurance agency for a year and a half right out of college.  I started at HawkSoft in 2009 in Customer Service and have been an Accounting Trainer, Team Lead and now the Client Services Manager. I chose to work at HawkSoft because of the family atmosphere.  The people here bring out the best in you. The company urges you to be all that you can be and to challenge yourself to grow.  You are cared about holistically.  I love the fact that ideas are encouraged and they want you to think outside the box to make things better.  I’m a working mom, and I appreciate the core value “Work to Live, Don’t Live to Work.”

I started in the insurance industry at 21 years old, and four years in I was introduced to HawkSoft after relocating and changing agencies. When asked if the agency had a management system, the owner told me that “they have this Hawk something or other…he just bought it from a friend and doesn’t know what it is or what it does.” I implemented HawkSoft in that agency and six other agency-owned locations. I worked at that agency for nine years using HawkSoft. When the opportunity presented itself, I quickly joined the HawkSoft team and have been here for over 15 years. I love their core values and I love working with agencies across the country. I have met some of the best people through HawkSoft.

I began using HawkSoft in 1997 and enjoyed all of the features that made my job easier in the agency. I chose to work at HawkSoft in 2014 because of my love for the program as well as the company’s core values and how they live by them. I began my time at HawkSoft as an Accounting Consultant and this last year moved into a Team Lead role and most recently as one of the Client Services Team Managers. I find it very rewarding to be on this side of things assisting agencies implement the program in a way that meets their needs and makes the most sense for them. I appreciate the way that HawkSoft cares about me as a person and encourages me to share ideas and work together to reach our goals.

I began working for HawkSoft in 2021 in an administrative role and transitioned to a Software Consultant role before becoming a Client Services Team Manager in early 2024. Prior to HawkSoft, I had been a software trainer since 2018.  I feel truly honored to be able to support my team and continue to work directly with agencies as well. HawkSoft has shown me how delivering the Purple Cow experience applies both internally and externally.

What's your favorite movie? Why?
It's a toss-up between Goonies and The Neverending Story. Both take me back to the innocence and wonder of my youth. They are timeless and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. I can and have watched both of these movies multiple times and never get tired of them.

Who is one person (could be more)--besides your parents, they are easy candidates--that you would like to express your gratitude to?
I would like to express my gratitude to my in-laws who are both unfortunately no longer with us. Their total acceptance of me as their daughter so many years ago and their guidance and tutelage throughout the years formed who I am today.

What is a quote you have burned in your mind, that you'll always remember? Why?
 "Sit right back and enjoy the ride" this quote, for me, is a reminder that as much as we may think we have it all planned/figured out life will through you curveballs, we need to be appreciative and learn from every experience and that it will work out the way it was meant to.

I have been with HawkSoft since 2008, most of that time spent managing teams. I have been blessed to work with outstanding individuals who not only care about the success of our customers using the product, but the success of their fellow HawkSoft team members. The senior management at HawkSoft is truly outstanding and have done a great job of preserving the family feel even with the ongoing growth of the company.

My wife and I are always looking for new outdoor adventures, whether it’s camping, hiking (working on doing more backpacking), kayaking, snowshoeing, etc. Our goal is to visit every National Park in the US, though we have work to do as we are on number 16. Our son also works for HawkSoft, and we have three fur children that we are very fond of (two dogs and a cat).

I’m a native Oregonian that likes to take full advantage of the great outdoors and beautiful Oregon scenery… and a former insurance agency gone HawkSoft software advocate. I choose to work for HawkSoft because I believe in who I work for, and the core values HawkSoft lives by. I have the absolute best work/life balance and appreciate how HawkSoft recognizes the value of family and the importance of work/life balance.

I’ve been a HawkSoft employee for over 9 years and have experience working in Product Support as a Product Support representative, Team Manager, Inside Sales Specialist, Sales Territory Manager and currently a Customer Success Manager. I used HawkSoft in the agencies I worked at and enjoyed the system. Once I became a HawkSoft family member, I could not see myself working anywhere else. The core values and culture of HawkSoft has always made me feel included. HawkSoft as a whole has allowed me to strengthen my abilities and continue to sharpen my skills with their continued support. It’s a breath of fresh air working for HawkSoft!

As a CSR/Producer I learned how to use HawkSoft while working for a P&C agency. In 2011 a friend/mentor contacted me about an opportunity to join the HawkSoft team. Since joining the HS team I’ve worked on the Product Support team, Client Services team and most recently joined our Customer Success Team! One of my favorite things about working at HawkSoft is that it provides a great work/life balance.

As a prior Independent Agency Owner and 13-year HawkSoft User, I am thrilled to be a part of the Customer Success Team. This role fulfills my desire to assist with the success of Independent Agencies and my passion for the Insurance Industry. I was drawn to HawkSoft due to their incredible culture. When I am not working, I love to spend time with family, travel and explore new places!

My favorite book is a Wrinkle in Time, with the other books following after. When I first read this as a preteen, I related to Meg. She felt miserable but most of that was her own thoughts. Deep down she was smart, caring and beautiful, she just needed to have the right people around to bring it out.

With over 20 years of management experience in various industries, Sandy brings a well-rounded and pragmatic approach to overseeing her department of seasoned bookkeepers. She has extensive experience in both customer-facing roles and behind-the-scenes accounting roles. Sandy is in her 3rd year with HawkSoft and has demonstrated her management and operational skills in Product Support, Client Services and now, Managed Services. She works hand in hand with our customers to ensure that their experience is exceptional.

Courtney has been delivering exceptional bookkeeping and customer service for over 8 years. While her bookkeeping career started in small business logistics accounting, Courtney quickly learned the insurance industry and is eager to continue her education in the industry. She is passionate about helping her clients make informed decisions about their agency accounting operations. Courtney consults with agencies to determine the products that will best suit their needs while also assisting them with operational accounting, payroll, bank reconciliation, invoicing, and accounts receivable and payables. With her help, agents can focus their resources on their core competencies while offloading their insurance accounting needs to a trusted partner.
